The Librarian is now back in the Library.
Las Friday in the middle of the day, they came into the temporary library room and took everything in the middle of her teaching. She finished out the last few classes of the day with the kids on the floor. They decided they needed the rooms we were in temporarily so they moved us out.
All of the books for the library are in a stack of boxes is 16 feet long, 8 feet wide and 4 1/2 feet tall. It is in the middle of the room. There are four tables on one end of the room where the library classes are being taught. And the room is not done, there is still wall work to be done, shelves to be moved, the computer tables and checkout counter need to be built and installed. She is teaching in a room with bare electrical wires, very few “live” outlets, and no switch or outlet cover plates. The doors lock (both in the library and the new kindergarten rooms) but they haven’t been re-keyed and the only people with keys are the construction guys. We have to leave the doors ajar whenever we leave our rooms in order to be able to get back in.
